If you ask an agency what SEO costs, you usually get "it depends" and a call to book. So we went looking for agencies that actually put a number on their website, or that someone else published. We found 13 that come up when you look for SEO for immigration law firms or for Spanish-speaking customers. Here's what they charge, and what the price usually gets you.

*Prices reported in Rocket Launch Media's published comparison of immigration marketing agencies, not on the agency's own website. Rocket Launch Media is itself an agency, and it's in the table too. CounselRank's price comes from the LawNext legal tech directory. Everything else is from the agency's own pricing page.

Two of them sell something different: a one-time project and services sold piece by piece. Of the rest, the low-cost plans sit between $350 and $800, and the full-service law firm agencies start between $1,700 and $2,500 a month. Their middle plans run from about $3,300 to $5,500, and the top plans go from about $4,800 to $20,000.

Why is there such a big range?

Because "SEO" covers very different amounts of work.

The $350 to $800 plans are mostly software and automated content. One plan at this level advertises 30 articles a month. Another promises "guaranteed rankings" and more than 120 backlinks a month. Google's own advice on hiring an SEO says no one can guarantee a number one ranking, and its spam rules penalize links that were bought instead of earned. Some of these can work for a solo practice that just needs a basic presence, but read what you're buying.

The $1,700 to $2,500 plans are where the full-service law firm agencies start. The plans at this level describe someone working on your site every month: fixing pages, writing content for your practice areas, managing your Google Business Profile and reporting what came in.

The $5,000 and up plans are usually aimed at firms with several offices or in very competitive cities like Los Angeles, Houston or New York, where you're up against firms spending a lot on marketing.

The other thing that moves the price is everything around the monthly fee. One agency charges at least $15,000 to set things up before the monthly work begins. Another asks for a 24-month commitment. Two others list a separate website fee: $6,500 at one, $997 to $3,997 at the other. When you compare proposals, add up the first year, not just the monthly number.

How much should a small law firm spend on SEO each month?

Start with what one new case is worth to you.

Say a new client brings your firm $3,000 after costs. A $2,000 a month plan pays for itself if it brings in one extra signed client a month, with a little left over. A $350 plan that brings in nothing still costs you $4,200 a year.

For a solo or small immigration practice in one city, the $1,700 to $2,500 range is where most full-service options start, and it is a reasonable place to begin. Going cheaper can make sense if you only need your Google Business Profile cleaned up and a few pages fixed. In our view, going above $5,000 rarely makes sense until you have several offices or you're in one of the biggest markets.

SEO takes months to pay off, so give it time. Google's own guide on hiring an SEO suggests asking every agency what results they expect and in what timeframe, and that is a good question to get answered in writing. That's why a month-to-month contract matters. You should be able to leave if it isn't working, without paying for a year you didn't get.

What should you get at each price?

At the entry full-service level, you should be able to get these in writing:

  • How many pages they will fix and how many new pages or articles they will write each month. A number, not "content as needed."
  • Your Google Business Profile managed: posts, photos, answering reviews.
  • Which searches they will track, and how many.
  • A monthly report that shows calls and contact forms, not just traffic charts.
  • Who owns the accounts. Your website, Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics should all stay in your firm's name.
  • How you leave. The notice period and what happens to the work if you cancel.

If a proposal doesn't answer these, ask. If the agency won't put them in writing, don't sign.

Does Spanish SEO cost extra?

Probably. None of the 13 agencies publishes a full bilingual monthly plan with a price, so ask for the Spanish work to be quoted in writing. Hispanic Market Advisors, which focuses on Spanish, sells it piece by piece: local SEO from $125 to $225 a month, Google Business Profile posts for $375 a month, Spanish content from $575, Spanish links from $795 and a website translation for $1,950.

That matters for an immigration firm, because a lot of people search for immigration help in Spanish, from work permits to immigration court. We looked at that in detail in Do Spanish speakers in the US search in Spanish or English?

Full disclosure: AgaveRank sells this too. Here's what we charge. Our plans are $1,000 a month for one language, $1,800 for English and Spanish together, and $3,000 for firms with several offices, with no setup fee and month to month. You can see exactly what each one includes on our immigration lawyer SEO page.

How we got these numbers

We collected these prices on October 12, 2026. For each agency we used its own pricing page when it had one. Five prices come from Rocket Launch Media's published comparison of immigration marketing agencies, because those agencies don't show prices on their own sites, and one comes from the LawNext directory. Those are marked with an asterisk in the table. Prices change, and many agencies adjust the final quote to the firm, so treat these as starting points.

We left out agencies that only say "contact us for pricing."

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost for an immigration law firm?

Among full-service law firm SEO agencies that show a price (October 2026), full-service plans start between $1,700 and $2,500 a month. Cheaper, mostly automated plans start around $350 to $800. One agency charges a setup fee of at least $15,000, and another asks for a 24-month contract.

How much should a small law firm spend on SEO each month?

Base it on what one new case is worth to you. For a small practice in one city, $1,700 to $2,500 a month is where most full-service options start. If one new client brings in $3,000 after costs, a $2,000 plan pays for itself with one extra signed client a month.

Is cheap law firm SEO worth it?

Plans from $350 to $800 a month are mostly software and automated content. They can help a solo practice get a basic presence, but be careful with promises of guaranteed rankings or large numbers of backlinks. Google says no one can guarantee a ranking.

How long does law firm SEO take to work?

It builds over months, not weeks. Google Business Profile changes can bring calls sooner than rankings move. Ask any agency what results they expect and by when, get it in writing, and look for a month-to-month contract so you aren't locked in if it doesn't work.
